November 2016 Exposure
April 2016 Exposure
Most of the under 5 years old children in barangay Molos, Tampilisan are undernourished. These are evidenced by the result of our house-to-house survey in each of the 7 puroks of the barangay backed up by the secondary data of the barangay and municipal nutrition coordinator.
Through our readings and interview with Ma’am Rowayne, the municipal nutrition coordinator, we have understood that nutrition includes a very wide array of responsibility not just of the local government but also each of the family in every community. With this in mind, we have decided to name our project “BATANG MOLOSOG.” Funny thing is that that’s already the best of our ability – naming the project. So far, we don’t have any concrete plan to solve the issue of malnutrition in our beloved barangay except strengthening of existing government projects.
We have just finished our second exposure to the community and in the next exposure (around November), we are expecting to implement our plans for the community, that is, if we have one. We are still at an early stage of our planning for our ultimate goal in this project which is proper nutrition for every child in the barangay and the only way is to gather more knowledge. We are positive that before the end of the first semester, through gathering of more data, reading literature, acquiring more knowledge and guidance of our mentors, we will already have a plan ready to solve the malnutrition issue of the community.
